Dr. Ayat Elsherif was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland. She earned her Bachelor of Arts and Dental Science from Trinity College in Dublin, followed by an optional year of Foundation Training in Durham, United Kingdom. She then spent a year as a senior house officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Oxford University Hospital.

Returning to her hometown of Dublin, Dr. Elsherif worked as an associate dentist before relocating to California with her husband. She earned her second dental degree with honors in 2017 from the University of the Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. After several years in general practice, she pursued advanced training in Endodontics at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry, where her master’s research focused on 3D guided endodontic access workflow.

Dr. Elsherif is an active member of the American Association of Endodontics, the Orange County Dental Society, and the CDA. She is also board eligible with the American Board of Endodontics.

When she’s not advancing her expertise in endodontics, Dr. Elsherif enjoys running, supporting her two children’s sports activities, and traveling with her family.
