Dr. Syamken earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1996. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, in 2001. Following dental school, Dr. Syamken worked as a general dentist in private practice in Dallas before deciding to pursue advanced training in dentistry. He returned to Baylor to complete a Certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) from 2003 to 2004.

During his time in the AEGD program, Dr. Syamken rekindled his passion for endodontics and applied to specialty programs across the country. He was honored to be accepted into the University of Iowa’s Endodontics program, where he earned his Certificate in Endodontics in 2007. Since then, Dr. Syamken has been practicing endodontics in both Orange County and Sacramento, California.

In his free time, Dr. Syamken loves to travel and explore new destinations. Some of his most memorable adventures include visiting Machu Picchu, exploring the natural wonders of Iceland and New Zealand, and going on safari in South Africa.
