Meet Dr. Elsherif and Shelly the Tortoise!

When Dr. Elsherif isn’t performing precise root canal treatments and helping patients feel comfortable in the chair, she’s spending time with her beloved pet tortoise, Shelly. Shelly, may move at a slow and steady pace, but she’s full of personality—and she’s taught Dr. Elsherif a thing or two about patience and care (both of which come in handy in endodontics!).

At home, Shelly enjoys exploring the backyard, soaking up the sunshine, and occasionally sneaking a bite of her favorite greens. Dr. Elsherif loves sharing stories about Shelly’s adventures and says she’s the perfect reminder that life isn’t a race—it’s about steady progress and enjoying the journey.

Whether she’s at the office caring for patients or at home caring for her shelled companion, Dr. Elsherif brings the same gentle touch, compassion, and dedication to everything she does.
