BEFORE YOUR ENDODONTIC TREATMENT
- Your endodontic treatment will involve the administration of local anesthesia. There are typically no restrictions concerning driving or returning to work after the procedure. If a problem does occur after your treatment, a Doctor will be available for consultation at any time.
- Continue all medications for blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid or any other conditions as recommended by your physician. If you have any questions or concerns, please call our office prior to your appointment.
- Please be sure to eat a full meal before the procedure.
- Please do not take any medication for pain or discomfort (e.g., Advise, Aleve, Motrin, ibuprofen, etc.) 4-6 hours before your first visit, since this may interfere with accurate diagnosis.
- If your physician or dentist has advised you to use antibiotic premedication due to mitral valve prolapse (MVP), heart murmur, hip/knee/cardiac or other prosthesis, or if you have rheumatic heart disease, please ensure you are using the appropriate antibiotic on the day of your endodontic procedure. Please call our office prior to your appointment if you have any questions.
